Once you've created your account, you will be brought to your PicoLink editor:
This is the PicoLink editor within your Pico Dashboard. You can make any changes here that you would like to see on your PicoLink page.
How to edit your header
Click the three dots to the right of the title in the Header block. You will find options to upload a header image and toggle on/off certain settings.
You can change the header image by either uploading an image or drag and dropping an image into the image preview.
You can also toggle on/off to display the header image, your logo, brand name, and/or social media links.
How to add a new content block
Note the red arrow in the section on the right, pointing to the 'Add a new content block' button. Click that button to add a link to your page. You'll see the below options:
What kind of content blocks are there?
You will ultimately have four different kinds of content blocks to choose from that you can add to your site.
Text: Text blocks display any custom text you would like.
Link Block: A link block allows you to display groups of related content together.
Music (coming soon!): Music blocks allow for audio clips to be played.
Payments (coming soon!): Payments allow for your audience to give back and support you!
In this example, we'll add a Link Block that directs users to a different URL! Click 'Link Block' to add a link.
This will start the process of adding a Link Block. Adding a Link Block Title and Link Block Description allows for more customization for you to describe what you are linking out to, but they are both optional to fill out.
Then click the 'Add a new link' button.
Add your link in the URL input section with a title. You can also add an image if you would like!
Click 'Done' once completed. A brief preview of your new Link Block will appear.
Once you have confirmed the information is correct, click 'Done'.
If you'd like to add more text blocks, repeat the steps above. You can reorder the text blocks by dragging the blocks using the six dots on the lefthand side of the block.
How to edit your Signup block
You can also customize your signup block in order to collect your audience's emails by clicking the three dots on the righthand side.
Adding a title and description are both optional, and you can also toggle many options for for signup methods for your readers. In addition to these two customizations, you can also add a custom field where you can collect additional information from your readers as they sign up.
This custom field must have a title, but it is not necessary to add a description. You will then need to select what kind of property it is. Currently, the options are Address, Birthday, First Name, Gender, Last Name, Phone Number. You can also make it a requirement or optional for your users to submit an answer as they are signing up.
After you click 'Done' setting up your custom field, the input field will appear above the email address input.
Going live with your PicoLink
You should then see your link appear in the Editor similar to the image below.
Note the red arrow pointing to the 'Save' button in the top right hand corner. When you are ready to go live with your PicoLink, click the 'Save' button!
At this point, you may view your PicoLink with the URL in the header, slightly to the left of the Save button.
Here are some example PicoLink pages!
